Viet Nam Government Is Gonna Shut Down 13 Mmo Games This Year Viet Nam government is gonna shut down 13 MMO games this year. Several game operators had been forced to shut down their servers in Nov. In the most recent campaign, 6 game operators had been forced to shut down or pay a fine or restrained at the capital of Viet Nam.
This Tuesday, one of Viet Nam game operator had been forced to restrain their users’ daily online game under 5 hours. However, Viet Nam technical guys are not possible to put this condition into their games. They have to ask outbound technical support from foreign technicians to do this job.
Viet Nam has a total population of 20 million, and a population around 14 million of internet users. Most Viet Nam game fans don’t have computers at home; they have to play at internet café. According to a official study, Viet Nam has totally 800,000
internet game players last year, and this number had boomed to 2 million this year. The most popular online game in Viet Nam’s market right now is a Chinese game called Swordman Online, which has about 250,000 registered users.
China has the same governmental issue about online game as well. The number of internet game players in China is over 100 million now. Many young people had put in a lot of time playing games. Parents, teachers and the government now are aware about this issue. They are trying to make effort to restrain the play-time of online games. I don’t think this will help to solve this issue. We need to provide our kids with more play options, such as ball clubs or interest groups. We can’t just simply ask them not to play online games.
