For those of you who don’t really understand where or how yourweb page is sitting on your hosting sever, this is a basic overview of how it works. A server is basically hardware and software and protocol. Wewill go over these three basics of your hosting server. • Server hardware.
Server hardware is so similar to your old PC hardware that theprice of server hardware has come down considerably. Down enoughthat it’s tempting for a lot of us to host our own server. Butthat’s a whole different article. All a server is: • Very fast processor. • A large amount of RAM. • A vast amountof Disk Space. • Connection to a T1 line (access to the outsideworld). The hardware is housed in very large office buildings. There aremany racks of servers filling these climate controlled rooms.Most of the server host brag of their 99% or better uptime. More relaxing. Rehearsal was called off today (after I showed up and waited around for a little bit, of course), and it's super nice out so I spent most of the day reading, hanging out with Bernie and Paidia, sitting...nothing
The Groundhog Day show last night was largely a success. Mike took a suggestion from the audience for a line from a song or movie - a bunch were yelled out at once, but I heard something good, and pointed...teddy bears destroy the world
Or shrink everyone, or grow to become giant death machines, or eat all our extruded potato paste, or something. Who knows? But that sure was fun! Excellent showing all around at the Coldtowne Theater last night - Pgraph's 50th show...ghost
Our Frontera Fest show was pretty sweet. We're getting pretty good at this - despite storm clouds, we pulled off a solid, consistently funny and interesting show for an audience of maybe 70-80 people who weren't necessarily there to laugh....nevar forget

Friday night was Andy Crouch's birthday, so after the shows, a bunch of us descended on his house and forced him to make us crepes and watch the Fuccons DVD. This took far too long, and led to a bedtime...brains
